Pre-Ballet and Creative Movement Class
3 year olds

4 and 5 year  olds

Students are introduced to dance and will learn basic ballet steps with a combination of creative movements.  The students will develop a greater sense of  body awareness,  rhythm, flexibility and coordination  through a multidisciplinary approach, which will stimulate imagination and self-expression.  Lots of colorful props will be used.
 

 

A combination of creative movement, ballet, and tap will be taught as students are introduced to the world of dance.

Kindergarten
Ballet, Tap and Jazz Classes

 

Cheer Dance For ages 4-8
(Alloway Studio only)

Students will be taught basic ballet technique and basic tap steps will be incorporated beginning with simple rhythms and sounds.                                  

                                        

 

 

Students  will be taught cheer motions, pom routines, and basic tumbling in this dynamic and fun 8-week program.

Ballet Classes

  Pointe Classes

Students will learn classical ballet technique starting with the five basic positions and advancing from adagio to allegro.  Correct ballet terminology will be taught and proper alignment will be emphasized. (Please note:  Ballet is the foundation of dance and every student should take a ballet class each year).

 

Students, who have continuously studied ballet for three years or more, are at least 11 years of age, have completed an extensive study of ballet, and have developed strong technique, will be able to begin pointe.

Tap Classes  

Irish Dance Classes

Traditional and progressive tap styles and combinations will be taught in progression.  Students will develop rhythm, timing, and coordination.

 

If your child enjoys Riverdance…

Students will be introduced to the foundations of Irish steps, from the  beginner through intermediate levels.

Jazz Classes

 

Modern Dance Classes

All forms of jazz will be taught from classical, Broadway, to contemporary. Emphasis will be placed on control and motion of the body with freedom of style and expression. 

 
 

Unlike ballet, modern dance is an abstract way of playing with time, space, and shapes while moving through different levels.

Hip Hop Classes

Students will learn funky, street, and the latest moves as seen on the popular music videos.  (Note:  Hip hop moves and music will be appropriate for children.)

                                    

 

This class is available for students, ages 10 up, who would like to learn about theatre arts. This class will combine the various forms of acting with singing and dance.

Zumba® Classes for Women  

Boys

Zumba embraces all the fundamental principles of fitness.  It motivates the body to burn calories efficiently, tones all muscle groups effectively, incorporates full range of motion, and improves the cardiovascular system.  Participants are constantly engaged and entertained with a variety of rhythms, including salsa, merengue, samba, belly dancing, cumbia, flamenco, reggaeton, and more!
 

 

S.T.A.R.S. (Sports Training Achievement Regiment for Star-Athletes) (Alloway Studio only) program is designed for boys who are in competitive sports and would like to continue a training regiment during the late fall.  This 4 week program is designed to build core body strength and muscle tone; increase agility, rhythm, flexibility; and improve balance and coordination.  Class size is limited.
FEE: $5.00 a class.  Call the studio for class times.

This class provides a special time for the young child and the child's parent when they participate in rhythm and creative movement activities together.  Designed to develop each child holistically, the age-appropriate child activities provide a special time for the child and a parent to explore and have fun together and with others.  Call the studio for class times.

 

Want to have fun and have a great workout?  Join our Adult Tap class.  In this class, adult students will learn the fundamentals of tap rhythms, basic steps such as flaps, shuffle, rudiments, wings, to turns and tap combinations.

All That Dance Studio is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in the State of New Jersey.  Dedicated to providing an exceptional dance educational program in all genres for children, pre-professionals, professionals, and adults from diverse backgrounds with and without disabilities, we offer dance classes based on age and ability.  Our teachers understand that children attend dance for different reasons and that each child is different. They approach each dancer to discover dance and to appreciate the art of dance in a nurturing environment without any prejudices regarding size, race, gender, or beliefs. A graded syllabus, designed to meet the needs of every dancer, is incorporated at each level.
